In Memory of Grandpa Schrock

My Grandpa Schrock made it to his HEAVENLY HOME yesterday, September 18th! He had been diagnosed with Dementia, but was doing fairly well. In the last few days, he got pneumonia, had a hard time swallowing, and was spiking a fever. My aunt went up to meet with the doctors and they had already left. While she and Grandma were in the room with Grandpa, his breathing wasn't sounding good and he took his last breath. I know that God spared him from a lot of suffering. I"m so thankful for the Godly legacy he leaves behind. He was truly a man of God who worked so hard his whole life to provide for his family.
I know he's happy, whole, and walking those streets of gold!

Just hanging out with Grandpa!

Am I my mother's daughter or what?!!?? =)

IN LOVING MEMORY......

September 4th was the 7 year anniversary of when dad died. I don't even know how to begin describing the last 7 years of my life. There have been many dark and sad days.....yet, God has shown his FAITHFULNESS more than ever. In the last couple of years, I have learned what it TRULY means to forgive.....through a new friendship with Rex Johnson and his family. Mom and I felt God leading us to meet Rex and his family back in the spring of last year (2008). It has truly been a blessing in my spiritual journey as well as this journey of grief!
I came across a lot of these pictures in the past few weeks! I LOVE seeing old pictures of us all together as a family. I continue to be so blessed by my memories of dad and the legacy he has left us with. He is missed and loved beyond words!

Right before we came home for Family Camp (July 21st) we went to Baby's First Images to get a 3-D ultrasound.....and more importantly.....to find out if this bambino is a boy or a girl! The ultrasound technician didn't have the device on my stomach for even 10 seconds before she could tell.....IT'S A BOY!!!! We were/are SOOOO excited!

Hadley's 3rd Birthday

In July, Jay and I headed over to Aiken, SC for Hadley's 3rd Birthday Party. I can't believe she is growing up so fast. As most of you know, I was her nanny from when she was born until she was 10 months old. She and Carter are SO precious and VERY dear to my heart.

I AM PREGNANT!!!!

So sorry I have taken so long to post my news on my blog!  I need to do much better these days!  Well, Jay and I went home last weekend for my Great-Grandma Hoover's 100th Birthday Party!  While we were home, we told our families and friends that WE'RE PREGNANT!!!!  We had only been trying for about a month.......so things happened quicker than we thought......which is fine!  We went to the doctor just over a week ago and had an ultrasound.  The heartbeat was normal and everything looked good.  I am now 9 weeks along and due January 8th!

I have had some nausea but haven't actually "gotten sick". (That was the nice way of saying it!)  I am on nausea medicine right now but still have days (like today) that I feel AWFUL.  I haven't really had any cravings.......but try to find things that even sound good.  Right now......Orange and Raspberry sherbert tastes WONDERFUL!!!

Our families are SO excited!  This will be the first grandbaby on my side and the second grandbaby on Jay's side!  We look forward to seeing many of you at Family Camp the last week of July!  Yes.....you will all be able to see my baby bump!!!

ANOTHER TROPF COMING SOON-----January 2010
